China to tempt Cavani with €20m salary
Paris
Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani is being lined
up by coach Fabio Cannavaro to join him at Tianjin Songjiang in the Chinese
Super League, with France Football reporting a €50 million offer being readied.
In addition to
a monstrous offer for the 29-year-old, the Chinese side will also tempt the
Uruguayan with a salary in the region of €20m -- just like Brazil forward Hulk,
who plays for Shanghai SIPG.
Cavani is
thriving without Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the Ligue 1 side and has 22 goals in
just 21 games this term. He could be at peak value in his career if ready to
chase the millions potentially on offer in China.
Former Italy
captain Cannavaro also wants Javier Pastore to join from
the Parisians, as the city of Tianjin look to keep up with big-spending clubs
from cities such as Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou.
PSG line up mega bid for Perisic
Another from France Football, who
suggest one new arrival at PSG could be Inter starlet Ivan Perisic as coach Unai Emery is said to be
a huge admirer of the Croatian winger.
The Ligue 1
side are considering a €25m move for the 27-year-old, who is their first choice
due to his suitability to France after a spell with Sochaux between 2007-2009.
Julian Draxler is also on their hit list, with
the Wolfsburg star's development somewhat stalling since his move from Schalke.
Man City to turn to Koke?
Pep Guardiola
is looking for more midfielders, especially with the news that Ilkay Gundogan is
going to be out for some time with a knee injury. Atletico Madrid's Koke appears to be on his list, according to Marca.
With Yaya Toure
also seemingly on his way out of the club, the 24-year-old Koke could be ideal
to fill the void for City over the next few years. But Atletico were careful to
insert a €150m release clause in his contract, so there's no pressure on them
to sell.
Serie A giants to fight over Clichy
Gael Clichy's contract is running down and it appears that Pep
Guardiola will not fight to keep hold of the French left-back, with Mundo Deportivo reporting his next destination is
looking like Italy.
Inter, Roma and Napoli will
battle it out for the former Arsenal star's signature with a move in January
not off the table.
With the 31-year-old's deal set
to expire next summer, Clichy however wait in hopes of receiving a more
lucrative offer down the road.
Conte
keen on Laxalt
With Oscar all but out the door to China,
Antonio Conte is plotting where he will re-invest his Chinese fortune and The Sun believes the Italian will raid Genoa
for Diego Laxalt.
The baby-faced Uruguayan was
brought to Serie A by Inter, but failed to make the grade. However, after
several loan spells, the 23-year-old is flourishing at Genoa, who made his loan
deal permanent last summer.
Traditionally a left-midfielder,
Laxalt can also play inside as an energetic, box-to-box attacking midfielder,
making him a better fit than the outgoing Brazilian for the former Juventus
coach's side.
Tap-ins
- Man United are set to land
another Dutch starlet with the Mail reporting the Red Devils are on
the verge of signing Daishawn Redan.
The 15-year-old super-talent has
visited the club's training ground and would follow the same paths as former
Ajax teenagers Millen Baars and Timothy Fosu Mensah.
- AC Milan star Giacomo Bonaventura is in line for a new deal to tie his
future to the Rossoneri until 2020, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Azzurri international has two goals and
five assists this campaign under Vincenzo Montella and agent Mino Raiola is set
to thrash out terms on an extension.
- Club Tijuana and U.S. national
team defender Greg Garza is looking to move from Liga MX to MLS.
The 25-year-old left-back has been with the Xolos since 2012, eventually
becoming a starter. But after a brief loan to Atlas, he underwent hip surgery
in the fall of 2015.
