Milan still hopeful of Fab deal
Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is a man in demand. In recent weeks, the Spain international has
been linked with a potential return to his former club, Arsenal, and mooted as
a West Ham target.
But the Sun reported that AC Milan retain interest in
Fabregas, having looked at him as a replacement for the injured Riccardo Montolivo in October. Citing reports in Italy, the Sun
wrote that the Serie A giants are "continuing to track" his
situation.
Fabregas made only his second Premier League
start of the season at Manchester City on Saturday, and the report added that
"his bit-part role has put Milan boss Vincenzo Montella on alert."
A deal, however, might be more likely to be
struck in the summer than January, with Milan's takeover yet to be finalised.
